1. Service Scope
Educate Online provides online tutoring and exam-preparation support. It is not an awarding body, school, examination board or university and does not issue diplomas, accredited transcripts, examination certificates or academic credits.
2. Enquiries and Trials
A website, WhatsApp or email enquiry does not guarantee a particular tutor, time or subject. A trial is arranged only after suitable availability is confirmed. The purpose of a trial is to help the family and tutor assess teaching fit and learning priorities.
3. Tutoring Arrangements
Before ongoing lessons, the parties should confirm the tutor, subject, curriculum, lesson format, frequency, schedule, rate and communication method. Any written arrangement provided for a particular student takes priority where it is more specific than these website terms.
4. Fees, Cancellations and Refunds
Fees and payment timing can vary by subject, level, lesson format and tutor arrangement. Cancellation, rescheduling and refund terms must be confirmed before payment. Do not send payment unless the amount, recipient and lesson arrangement have been clearly verified with Educate Online.
5. Appropriate Use
Students, parents and tutors must communicate respectfully and use online sessions for legitimate educational purposes. Harassment, abusive conduct, impersonation, unlawful activity, unauthorised recording or misuse of another person’s information is not permitted.
6. Learning Materials
Original Educate Online materials and tutor-created materials may be used for the student’s personal learning unless otherwise agreed. Examination-board papers, textbooks, trademarks and third-party resources remain the property of their respective owners and may be subject to separate terms.
7. Website and Service Availability
We aim to keep the website and communication channels available, but uninterrupted access is not guaranteed. Online lessons may also be affected by internet connectivity, power, platform availability or circumstances outside a party’s reasonable control.
8. Applicable Law
These terms are subject to applicable law and the jurisdiction of a competent authority. Mandatory consumer protections that apply in a user’s location are not excluded by these terms.
